Modeh Ani:
I give thanks to You, King of life and limitless
existence.
For returning my soul unto me, with mercy.
Great is your faith in me.
This is the first prayer we say when opening our eyes in the
morning.
This prayer expresses our immense gratitude to God
for granting us one more day of life, in which we may serve Him.
Furthermore, we are grateful that God has so much faith in us
that He sees us worthy of yet another chance to achieve closeness to
Him.
